Currently all of our service opportunities are full. But don’t think you can’t help. Here are some ideas for participation for your family or friends:

   1. Make Breakfast Bags: fill a ziploc bag with portable breakfast foods- breakfast bars, juice box, 100% fruit roll up, milkbox or cereal, write a note- Hope you have a good day! and donate to one of our food pantries.

      2. Organize a food drive: just click on this link to find out how: http://www.bchg.org/site/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Food-Drive-Flyerf.pdf

While you do this work share some information about Dr King. At the end of his life he had turned to the issue of economic inequality in our country. To learn more about Dr King click on this link: http://www.thekingcenter.org/ To hear the “I Have a Dream” speech click on this YouTube link: http://youtu.be/7yahGTU8G3g

This is thanks to the owners’ renovation in 2004, which bumped out walls, added French doors and windows and a graciously terraced yard leaving way for a true open-concept chef’s kitchen, entertainer’s dream and nature lovers’ views. Be sure not to miss the Grand Organ in the first floor study—another addition to an already dramatic home.

“I love the views from every window in the house,” says one of the owners of this 1900Victorian twin that sits on the corner of Oakland and Church. It’s a home that you might recognize from its recent conversion to red siding. And while a complete kitchen renovation was completed about seven years ago, that might be where any conversion ends because inside is strictly Victorian—from paint and furniture selection to walls framed out with interesting art and classic Turn-of-the Century trim work. Resident beagles Felix and Oscar are on duty, watching faithfully as their owners have decked the halls for the holidays.
