Appointments preferred; walk-ins welcome.They have  great raffle items (including a $100 gift certificate for a tattoo!) , refreshments and free services such as seated chair massages. Currently all of our service opportunities are full. But don’t think you can’t help. Here are some ideas for participation for your family or friends:

  1.    1. Make Breakfast Bags: fill a ziploc bag with portable breakfast foods- breakfast bars, juice box, 100% fruit roll up, milkbox or cereal, write a note- Hope you have a good day! and donate to one of our food pantries.

Bucks County Housing Group is pleased to announce a partnership with Liberty Travel in Doylestown. Liberty Travel is hosting a food drive for the Doylestown Community Food Pantry. The food drive will take place in the Liberty Travel Shop at 569 North Main Street in Doylestown for the entire month of November.

 “At Liberty Travel in Doylestown, we understand that going on vacation can be a luxury. We feel that dinner should not be a similar luxury, which is why we want to work with the Bucks County Housing Group to help bring food to our local community.”

 Stop by Liberty Travel throughout November and bring canned goods to fill the shelves at the Doylestown Community Food Pantry. Liberty Travel has been part of the Doylestown community for over 15 years.

Liberty Travel will be giving everyone who donates a $5 voucher per item donated, up to a maximum of $50, which can be used towards a future trip. Terms and Conditions do apply. Everyone who donates will also be entered into a drawing to win an additional $100 Liberty Travel Gift Card.

“I love the views from every window in the house,” says one of the owners of this 1900Victorian twin that sits on the corner of Oakland and Church. It’s a home that you might recognize from its recent conversion to red siding. And while a complete kitchen renovation was completed about seven years ago, that might be where any conversion ends because inside is strictly Victorian—from paint and furniture selection to walls framed out with interesting art and classic Turn-of-the Century trim work. Resident beagles Felix and Oscar are on duty, watching faithfully as their owners have decked the halls for the holidays.

The article, about a woman dying from cancer, lives in Section 8 housing  a program which is administered by the Housing Authority and the agency in question is Bucks County Housing Authority.

Bucks County Housing Authority is a county agency tasked with oversight of the HUD Housing Voucher Program while Bucks County Housing Group is a private non-profit social service agency serving homeless and low income familes since 1979.

Our names may be similiar but our roles in community are very different. Just check out this website to find out about us and what we do.
