If you are currently living doubled up or in hotel and have children younger than 18 years and are interested in our Supportive Housing Programs the information below will be helpful.

Families who receive services from the Bucks County Housing Group are:

    • Homeless
    • Bucks County residents
    • Single parents or couples who have primary custody of their children (Couples must be able to demonstrate that they have lived together prior to entry into program)
    • Referred by official agency
    • Willing to accept case management and abide by the rules and regulations of Bucks County Housing Group
    • Able to care for themselves and their children.

Since the program is a second-step program and cannot accommodate emergencies, a first step may be to have the your case worker from one of the following agencies contact a Housing Group case manager to make an intake referral:

    • American Red Cross Homeless Shelter of Lower Bucks
    • A Woman’s Place
    • Bucks County Children and Youth Agency
    • Catholic Social Services.

This process is in place to insure that each family has had an opportunity to work with other housing continuum agencies to address some of the issues that may have contributed to their current status. After your case worker contacts BCHG then you will meet with a BCHG case manager and fill out an intake form. You will have a brief face-to-face interview with the case manager at that time. If you are eligible for the SHP then you will be contacted and more than likely be asked to join a waiting list. From there it may take several weeks or longer to move into a shelter.

If you are interested in entering BCHG SHP please fill out and submit the form below and someone will contact you and schedule an intake interview for you.
